TheMacPost covers Apple and artificial intelligence. We report the news as it breaks, review the products, explain the software updates and write about what Apple and the AI companies are getting right and wrong.
The site is independently owned and run by Ali Salman Zia, its Editor-in-Chief. Ali has covered Apple for more than a decade, including ten years at Wccftech, and has written for Android Police and Engadget.
What we cover
Apple: the iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and Vision Pro, plus iOS, macOS and Apple’s services. We also follow the company itself: its earnings, its leadership and the legal fights over the App Store.
AI: Siri and Apple Intelligence, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and the models behind them, the AI apps worth your time and the rules being written around all of it.
Rivals: major launches from Google, Samsung and others, written for people who use Apple products and want to know how the competition compares.
You’ll also find Features (longer reported pieces), Editorials (our opinion, always labelled), How-To guides, Deals, and Snaps, which are short posts for quick news.
How we work
Every story on TheMacPost is written by a person whose name is on it. Rumors are labelled as rumors, and we say where they come from. Opinion is kept in Editorials. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so at the end of the story.
Our full standards are in the Editorial Policy, and the way we handle mistakes is in Corrections.
How the site makes money
TheMacPost is paid for by advertising and by affiliate links. When you buy something through a link in a deal or a buying guide, we may earn a commission. That never decides what we recommend, and posts with affiliate links say so at the top. Sponsored posts, if we run any, are clearly marked as sponsored.
