Apple nearly went bankrupt in the 1990s before Steve Jobs’s return turned it into the world’s most valuable company. Under Tim Cook, who became CEO in 2011, it became the first US company worth $1 trillion in 2018, passed $3 trillion in 2022 and $4 trillion in 2025.
