iPad

Apple introduced the iPad in 2010 and created the modern tablet market almost overnight. Apple Pencil and keyboard covers later turned it into a drawing tablet and a laptop stand-in, and in 2019 it got its own operating system, iPadOS.

With iPadOS 26 in 2025 it finally gained proper Mac-style windows. Today the range runs from the entry iPad and iPad mini to the M4 iPad Air, released in 2026, and the M5 iPad Pro.

We cover new models, iPadOS, accessories and whether an iPad can replace your computer.
