The touchscreen MacBook Pro is out now, here’s where to buy it

Prices, stores and shipping times for Apple's first touchscreen Mac.

Apple’s first touchscreen Mac, the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display, is now available to buy today, November 6. You can buy it from the Apple Store and online in 30 countries. The company announced the new machines late last month on October 28, and pre-orders were opened at the Pro and tell event. The M6 iMac, the 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro and the OLED iPad mini 8 are also available starting today.

The new PROLED XDR MacBook Pro models come with a tandem OLED touchscreen, a Dynamic Island instead of a notch, a glowing Apple logo on the back, and the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Here’s everything you need to know about where to get it.

How much the new MacBook Pro costs

The new PROLED MacBook Pro models are pricier than their previous counterparts, $400 more than the regular M5 Pro MacBook Pro that Apple is also still selling. Check out the pricing below for more details and choose the one that best fits your requirements.

  • 16-inch with M5 Max: $4,799

Where to buy the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR

You can buy the new touchscreen MacBook Pro models from Apple’s online store and the Apple Store app. Ordering now means a later delivery date, so be sure to check apple.com for the ship time. Many configurations of the 14-inch and 16-inch models in Space Black and Silver are already showing delivery estimates of two to three weeks.

In Apple Stores, the walk-in stock varies, so check availability for pickup before you go. If you want the new, redesigned model today, picking up from the Apple Store would be the quickest way, as deliveries could take days. So choose the Apple Store nearest you.

Should you buy one?

Whether you should buy it or not is a different question altogether. If you want the best laptop display, this is the right choice. If you regularly use a touchscreen on your Windows laptop, it’s worth checking out, plus you’re getting a new design with a glowing Apple logo.

If you do not need the touchscreen or a glowing Apple logo and want to save $400, you can still get a brand-new mini-LED MacBook Pro with the same M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. The first-generation touchscreen MacBook Pro reviews are out, so read a few before spending at least $2,899.
